Juniors softball is generally for players who are Little League age 13.  This is the last level in Little League for softball before the players move on to high school.

The Juniors level is a competitive division, with full softball play and rules.

This level is a player-pitch division.  The Wethersfield Juniors team will play teams within its district (if applicable); frequently games are scheduled between towns in other districts, as not all towns field a Juniors team.   More guidelines below, subject to change:

*One - two practices per week; games per week (about 2 hours), scheduled by coaches as they can accommodate.  Games designed to be regulation 7 innings.

*12 inch regulation softballs are used in this division.

*Fielding team will consist of 9 players in the field. 

*Leading from a base: allowed once the ball leaves the pitcher’s hand. 

*Stealing: unlimited.

*No run maximum per inning.

*No swinging of the bat other than in the batter’s box. There are no on deck batters with a bat in their hands!

*Encourage fair play, skill development, sportsmanship and FUN for all of the players!
